Pangkor Town Transportation
Public transport on the Island is confined to the pink Mini -Buses or 8-seater vans. They doubled up as taxi/bus. Each trip, the practice is to accept only 4 adults.
These vans charged the usage of the vehicle on the basis of per ride, irrespective of distance. Each journey costing RM10 is regulated by the practice of having 4 passengers. If you are aware that the ride would be for a short distance and particularly if you have less than 4 persons, then it would be advisable to walk.
This rule of Rgt 10 per trip do however do not apply to a single trip going round the Island. Round island trip of 25 kilometers varies between RM40 during the low season, to RM100 on Public holidays. The trip would pass through most of the beaches, the 2 towns, "Satay fish" factory [souvenirs shop] and the "great Wall".
By the way, motorcycle are the most famous transport on this island.
