Video Games
This is the video games section of my site.  Here, I will put all of the new systems and some of their really good games.  You should go to GameSpot, because they have lots of pictures, reviews, FAQs and cheats for all the latest games.
Nintendo 64
Released in 1996, this is Nintendo's first ever 3-D system.  It has a HUGE game library, and uses cartridges for it's games.  Since the system is pretty old now, you could probably buy a used system for about $30 USD or a brand new one for about $40 USD.  It has 4 controller ports, and lots of different accessories you can buy.

Games For N64
The Legend of Zelda:  The Ocarina of Time
Genre:  Adventure
Rating out of 10:
10.0
This is the first 3-D game in the Zelda series.  It has 9 different levels, and although it doesn't seem like a lot, it is.  It'll take you 3-4 hours to beat each "dungeon" and its boss.  Plus, there are plenty of side-quests that will also keep you busy.  You can be Link in both his "kid" and "adult" forms, and you can dress up in 3 different colored tunics, each with their own power.  You also get 3 shields, 3 swords, and 3 magic powers, and plenty of other weapons and items, such as the bow and arrow, bombs, boomerang, bombchus, slingshot, hookshot, longshot, and many others.  You'll meet many different people of different species, such as the Deku, a weird, tree-type thing, the Gorons, a huge rock monster that eats boulders, and Zoras, a blue animal that's a cross between a dolphin and a mermaid.  All in all, this game is a game that you MUST have.

The Legend of Zelda:  Majora's Mask
Genre:  Adventure
Rating out of 10:
9.0
This is the sequel to TOoT.  You can ONLY be the younger form of Link in this, though.  And, this doesn't take place in Hyrule, as all the other Zelda games do.  It's in Termina, a land where it's moon will crash into it in a mere 3 days, and YOU have to stop it.  This sounds hard at first, but, you have the power to stop and go back and forward in time, and plus, you have a guardian fairy always helping you.  There are 24 masks in this game.  When you put any of them on, you get a special power.  For example, the Bunny Hood enhances your running and jumping abilities.  Also, in MM, you can transform into a Deku, a Goron, and a Zora, each with tons of special abilities.  The big downside to this game is:  Its price.  This can cost up to $60-70 USD, depending on where you buy it.  Plus, you have to buy the Expansion Pak, which increases the memory capabilities of your N64, and is REQUIRED to play this game.  A new one costs $30 USD, while a used one costs $20 USD.  But, overall, this is a great game to get.

Super Smash Brothers
Genre:  Fighting
Rating out of 10:
9.1
This is the most unique fighting game I've every played.  Instead of just having a 1-on-1 type battle in which you just punch and kick, this game can handle up to 4 people playing at once, and they have various "trademark" moves (like Mario's Fireball, Mario's Cape, Luigi's Fireball, etc., etc.) that appeared in their other games.  You can use 12 characters, and they're all by Nintendo.  They each have lots of different moves.  There are many stages, and it has a great bonus and 1-player mode.  This is an awesome game.  The only problem is that it is a bit short...
Playstation
Playstation is Sony's first system.  It runs on a CD, and has tons of great games.  It was released in 1995, and, unlike the N64, it needs memory cards to save, and only has 2 controller ports.

Final Fantasy 7
Genre:  RPG

This is by far the BEST game I've ever played in my life- on any system.  Even now, almost 6 years after its release, it's still selling tons of copies, and on most sites where you can order video games, I find it to be on back-order (meaning that they don't have enough copies in stock, because everybody keeps buying them).  And, for those of you who don't have a PS, but want this game, you can get it for your computer!  The music is absolutely WONDERFUL in this game.  To this day, I often find myslef whistling tunes from various parts of the game.  Nobuo Uematsu wrote the music for it.  In fact, the music in this game was so great, that it was put on a CD, and I think it even won an award.  The story is very deep, and the plot has lots of twists and turns.  There are 9 playable characters, and you can get this thing called "Materia".  It's a small, glowing orb that gives the user power of some sort of magic.  You can "equip it to characters, and they can use it in battle.  Speaking of which, the battle system is really cool, and it's called "real-time battle".  There's a little timer, and when the bar on the timer goes down all the way, you have the choice to summon a monster, use magic, attack, use an item, and lots of other commands.  If you read this and do not get this game, then consider yourself unlucky, because you're missing out on the best game on this planet.

Final Fantasy 8
Genre:  RPG

In this game, you work as a mercenary for a place called Balamb Garden.  You are Squall, one of their highly-trained soldiers, called a SeeD.  SeeD was made to destroy sorceresses, who are evil, but, they will also do other jobs... for a price.  In this game, you get to summon cool monsters called GF's (Guardian Forces).  They help you in battle.  The game has great music and a deep story with lots of twists and turns in the plot.  The junction system in the game is hard to get used to at first, but once mastered, it will help you a lot.  If you have FF7, then this won't seem as strange to you, as they are very similar.  All in all, you should REALLY get this game.
Gameboy Advance
Released on June 11, 2002, this is the most powerful handheld system on the market (as of now).  Featuring 32-bit graphics, this has twice the power of a Super Nintendo or Sega.  In fact, many of the great games that were made on SNES and Sega are being ported onto the GBA.  The Gameboy Advance comes in many different colors- Clear, white, clear-fuschia, purple, orange, black, and platinum (limited edition).  Although its screen is bigger than the Gameboy Color, it's still small enough to fit inside your pocket, which the Gameboys are famous for.  It now only costs $70 USD, instead of the $100 USD it used to be.  This is a really good system to get, and it's connectivity capabilities with the Nintendo GameCube make it even more wonderful than it already is.

next page of video games)
