Chapter 3: Super Computer
 

1 year I am dreaming to have a computer in my home. Now I in 4^th grade of elementary school �s student, like usual I study in my school every day but there something different. I see different thing my home now, a big black box with cable and monitor, a small thing like a mouse, a board with key on it. yes,, that is a computer sit nicely in new computer table in living room. I can�t tell anything more over I not believe there is computer in my home. I see it so it�s mean I�m not in a dream and I confuse where my parent can get that. I directly find my mom and my mom just smile to me. I�m very happy I haven�t put my bag in my room, a haven�t put my shoes on the rack, I already sit nicely in front of my computer. Starting from now I have new friend and I call it super computer.

 

I know it was not good as my uncle�s computer. It was Pentium four with 0.5 gigabytes ram and under standard graphics. But it was good I think, I didn�t found any differences between my uncle computer and super computer. Super computer looked so old the CPU is black and the monitor is white. The mouse is big and still use roller the brand is dell. It�s too big for my little hand. After my father told me the story of that computer, I know that is computer that given by my father�s boss. He will not use this again so that�s why he give the computer to my father. I really want to give my thanks to him. I always try to find new thing in super computer and I know there are so many things to do in computer, because of book I�ve learn some program that interesting and useful such as Microsoft office, paint, PhotoScape and other.

 

Chapter 4: It�s show time

 

          Heyy�. I heard good news. This is the best news that I heard. �Elementary student festival championship�, it�s a festival for elementary school student that contain competition such as math, English, science, sport, and the last is computer. I don�t know I will met this opportunities to show my talent to everyone. Because in my school not many people have computer so school directly choose me in computer competition. The venue of the championship was in other elementary school not so far from my school. It�s the first time I join competition outside the school. I�m waiting for my turn in waiting room. I think my name was in the last list so I will be long stay in the waiting room. �Muhammad Naufal Afaf� my name is called by the judges. That room is small room with 2 windows. three people already sit nicely in their own table. A newest computer with complete devices. I worry about the computer because it�s looked different with super computer, I think I can�t operate that computer.

                After I sit in front of computer I see it�s not so different with super computer. I directly grab the mouse and ready to do what judges want. Two judges sit beside me now, they ready with their own paper and I think that paper is question paper or list that must I do on that computer. first question, open mc office!. I can�t move my hand. My bodies become cool automatically. Oh noo !!!!!!!, I�m freezing!. I feel it so long but I directly remember what my father said. Take a deep breath to decrease the nervous in your mind. I grabbed the mouse and try to find Microsoft word. Fast double click and I open Microsoft office. Then it was time for second question. Not as hard that I think, the question was type your name!. I didn�t recognize how to type quickly but when I heard I must type my name with only my two point finger I type my name �Muhammad Naufal afaf�. I think the judges will score how fast I type my name. even it�s not so fast but I�ve tried to do the fast that I can. Next is how I save the document that I made. I think this is too easy. I usually not use mouse to click file first than click menu than click save or save as. But I usually only use ctrl + shift + s for save as and ctrl + s to save and I heard the judges say �oh it is good, he can use shortcut� I was prousd of that and judges say I may go out from the test room.

 

                After a week I wait for the result of the competition, I was surprise and so proud. I get the second winner of that competition. That is my first achievement outside the school and my achievement is in my passion and hobby. Now I promise to myself that I want to be serious in computer engine and touch other modern thing in the world again.
