| As of now, I would like to thank you for reading this short excerpt on what it was like crossing the South China Sea for many Vietnamese refugees. Most of what I mentioned were seen through the eyes of my parents. When I was a little boy, they would tell me stories about what it was like living in a different world over in Vietnam. They remind me all the time on how fortunate I am to grow up here in America. Coming to America has shown me lots about what it means to be courageous. It has also shown me that people should follow their dreams and strive beyond their goals. Giving up should not be an option. What you decide to do should affect the rest of your life. The nature part of this story is to show that nature is a part of everything. It has a role in determining one's future and destiny. Whether it is God, Nature, or some Superior Being that created us, we all share something in common: the desire to happily live and enjoy life. |
