The Portuguese Final was held at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon on March 7th, hosted by António Sala and Cristina Caras Lindas. Before the final, there was a series of semi-finals - click here for details: PORTUGUESE SEMI-FINALS 1997 The winner was chosen by 20 regional juries, plus a 21st jury, the votes of which were comprised from televoting - Os Meninos da Sacristia won the televote.
