The Estonian Final was held on February 15th at the Linnahall in Tallinn, hosted by Marko Reikop and Anu Välba. The winner was chosen by a panel of international judges from Spain, UK, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Slovenia and Hungary.

The favourite of the Estonians in a radio telephone poll was "Aeg", however Maarja-Liis went on to come 8th at the Eurovision. The two members of Code One were Koit Toome who would represent Estonia the following year, and Sarah. Anne Varvimann was the Estonian backing singer in the 1996 Eurovision.
