The Rock - Alcatraz from the boat and the docks

As we rode across the Bay, I couldn't help but think, "Geez that's close!!" However, it has a wonderful natural barrier, nearly freezing water year-round and swift currents. They took some champion kayakers once to see if they could row across, they were all taken out to sea. I do not think anyone that was "unaccounted" for lived.
