The facial expressionism goes unparalelled. It was December 26, 2000 and we were at the Ano Nuevo State Reserve along the Pacific Coast. This is where a colony of rare Elephant Seals can be seen. As we walked, my mother began telling the story of how Nick met his breaking point when they went to Washington D.C. He lost all rational control as mom began to crunch her food obnoxiously he yelled out in frustration and fear "will you stop that crunching." The culmination of Nick's downfall under these unscrupulous conditions was what my mother was conveying to me as I took these pictures. The lower right picture and the very bottom picture are of my mother and George. They were taken at her house on July 1, 2001.
