ASJMS was a private school situated in Aroroy, Masbate. It was established in 1981. The students enrolled were mostly children of the workers of the Masbate Gold Operations which was then at that time running its operation until it closed down in 1995... that is as far i know.
The shool celebrates Benefactor's Day on the 8th of December. It is during this day that each level performs a field demostration.
The school, among other institutions like ASMS in Toledo was under the supervision of the La Salle Brothers in Manila. Basically, the La Sallian concepts and ideas were adapted by the school. It was then a Catholic, private school.
Students were to abide with the La Sallian Values... to emulate St. John Baptist de La Salle. That is why the school's curriculum did not only deal with academic subjects but also on the spiritual and moral formation of the students.
There are basically three stages that encompasses the school's education system. The first stage was the kindergarten. Then, the elementary level which starts from Level 1-8. Lastly, there was the high school level which was from Level 9-12.
But, aside from these, what distinguishes ASJMS among other schools in the province was the kind of education it offered. The school was a symbol of academic excellence.
It may not be known to many because it was situated in a remote place but we, the students who came from there can attest to that. The school has produced competent graduates.

"I will continue oh my God to do all my actions for the love you."

"St. John Baptist de La Salle... pray for us."

"Live Jesus in our hearts... forever."
