Nassoro: What do you think of mainstream music is no way days and if
you could change or add to it what would you contribute and in what direction
would you take it? Chris: A lot of the mainstream music industry is created by a
guy behind a computer. A lot of this pop music, in my own humble opinion, is
really just a corporate-born manifestation of catchy hooks, simple melodies,
and attractive people. Granted, there are many talented artists out there...
they aren't necessarily the ones making the big bucks on the T.V and radio
stations.
Nassoro: What is the latest name of
the album you are working with and how many local venues do you guys play in?
Chris: We are
currently working on the "Heroes of Elysium EP" with Kenny Ruyter
of East Coast Bands (.com). We are always up for a show and have played at
the Firehouse Cue in Old Towne Gaithersburg several times, look for us around
the county in the coming months!
Nassoro: What is the philosophy
behind your life and your music
Chris: One thing is for sure, we are
not in this solely for financial gain. I would not have left my full-time job
as a loan officer if I really cared that much about money. For me, it's about
playing quality songs, and being able to reach a wide audience with our
music. I play for the kids who have dreams and aspirations of one day being
in a band, because I was that kid back in school. I want to show the world
that where you go in life is based upon your strength of heart and
determination, not necessarily climbing an endless corporate ladder or
getting into corrupt politics. My life has always been about being a good
man, so that when I am older I can look back at the world and say that it is
better because I lived. I dream that my name will be written in a book
somewhere as the author's major influence or maybe a role model for the next
generation.
