Comments: Well I got sick of the corporate world znd have gone back to school to be a math teacher! I was hating my job and even though the money was great it was slowly killing me.

I start student teaching next semester at the ripe age of 48 and really love being in the classroom. Things are tight right now because we are living on my wife's salary as a 3rd year teacher. I'm in college, she's in for her masters, and my oldest son is also there... and we still have a little money for groceries! If any of you others from 72 are there give me a yell. I still tell stories about some of you today.



I'll never forget Geometry where Mr. Conway was going over homework and Biff McLauren was turned around talking to me. He called on Biff for the next answer and Biff whispered, "Garner, what's the answer?". I told him "True" and it was really 36. He got mad, but the rest of us had a good laugh!

Am working toward my grad degree in school guidance counseling while i get to babysit a dorm full of teenagers. It took a while, but i finally wised up! Comments: It is June 12, 2001, and I finally got my senior yearbook. Which wouldn't be a big thing except that I GRADUATED IN 1986!!!! What can I say-my wife is a writer and former high school teacher, I guess they can get miracles done if they call the right person.

I live in Hot-Lanta, work for The Discovery Channel. Next time you see them go to black for two minutes, think of me. Father of four-(yes, I said four) Sarah 7, Genevieve 5, Ryan 4, and Margaret, 3 months. Published my poetry nationally-even got a mention in the 99 and 2000 poets market reference guides, and have sung both opera and church music off and on-opera pays a lot, but you only get good gigs about every 4 months or so.

Would love to hear from any Drama freaks circa 82-86 or madrigal/chorus geeks, same period. Have talked with KC off and on-he even coached me on acting out some opera arias-but would like to know if Mr. B's okay, if anyone knows.

I'm still in town but moved to Nolensville Road area (also since '77) in a house Coach Mel Brown sold me. Some of the best memories are with Tommie Lou Boles - North School Secretary and Rob McGee - North School Guidance Counselor. Wow what a team! I am alive and doing well because of these two. Another very special man for me and many others is Coach Mel Brown. My daughter and son knew his daughter-in-law who was teaching at Wright Middle School.

I would like to talk to and see some old friends from my high school days. I currently live in Bellevue with my wife Tracey Armistead Hargrove (McGavock Class of 1989) no kids but still practicing. I am a retired Professional Wrestler with the WWF for 13yrs so if you email me or call me and I don't remember you sorry but I have been dropped on my head to many times. I wrestled under the name Reno Riggins ( It took a good man to beat me, it just did't take them long). But it was a great experience, I got to see the world, (Hong Kong, Germany, London, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Kuwitt and so many other places it seems like a blur. I currently own an Auto Body Shop in West Nashville and manage my own Real estate investment firm. Not to bad for scoring a 9 on my ACT. That crap is over-rated anyway. I'm from Evansville IN, and I met him in Florida last summer. I had a really great time with him and all of his friends and my sister. We exchanged numbers and adresses with each other, but apparently he lost my address that I wrote down twice on 2 seperate sheets of paper, then after waitng a week or two when I got home, I decided to write, but when I got in my bag to get out the address, it wasn't there. Anyway, I have since found Jesus; amazingly, I

found Him rummaging through my garage one day

looking for an extension cord. (Incidentally,

Jesus saves�and passes the savings on to YOU!)



Also, I have traveled the world extensively since

graduating from McGavock in 1986, and I have yet

to find a better way of clearing my sinuses than

robustly inhaling the acrid, wafting formaldehyde

vapors in Mesdames McBee and Welch�s Biology 1 /

Graduated from MTSU in '86, gained employment in the printing industry in '87, married in 1990 to Jackie Davis (from MTSU and Tullahoma),had our first child in 1994 (Sarah Jayne), had our secod child in 1996 (Daniel Robert). Where to begin. Well after High School I joined the Coast Guard and spent eight years there as a Radioman (later named Telecommunications Specialist, a long title stating I was a glorified 911 operator and that I worked with computers.) While there I wentto Japan, Hawaii, Alaska (too many times), Caribbean (for the Haitian Migration), pretty much everywhere. For the first four years I was station in Alameda, CA where I met my beautiful wife. Then I got transferred to Louisville, KY (before anyone asks, riers are a national waterway). My wife and I got married on Jan 20, 1996, our little daughter was born on June 2, 1998, and we are expecting our second kid. It's awesome. Currently, I travel the United States teaching the UNIX OS for Sun Microsystems and H. Well that is all for now. I would enjoy to hear from some of you.

Let's go with a brief history for the past 11-12 years...Graduated in '88, then left for the friendly confines of Parris Island, SC. Upon completion, I went to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA to study Russian. Finshed that, then went to First Radio Battalion, Fleet Marine Forces, Pacific, in Kaeohe Bay, Hawaii. Finished my three year tour in 1993, picking up a NROTC scholarship along the way. Came back to Nashville, starting at Vanderbilt in the fall of '93. Graduated in Dec, 1996 with a BS in Russian. I am currently married with no kids wit a wonderful woman I met in college, and am on my second tour at First Radio Bn.

What's up fellas,I've been looking all over the net for some kinda website for the old school. As far as what I've been doing, the Air Force has treated me to an interesting career for the past ten years. I joined in 1989 and has a tour as Patrick AFB, FL - Cocoa Beach or 5 years where I got married to my lovely wife Corren and had my first child, Kimanu. After our tour was over in sunny Florida, we decided to visit the Far East and got and assignment to Misawa AB, Japan where we've been for the past 6 years. Misawa i a great place to experience all Japanese culture has to offer. The people are friendly, the food is great and there is no end to the sights and special events of the country. Unfortunately, we have to move on, reaching the limit of our tour length here Not ready to return to the States yet, we hooked ourselves up with an assignment to Ramstein AB, Germany where I'll be in the 1st Combat Communications Group and looking forward to tasting some great Jagersnitzel! Hi, Just in case you have not heard, McGavock HS Marching Band is once again the Tennessee State Champion marching band. They once again won the Tennessee Governor's Cup at the Contest of Champions held at MTSU in Murphreesboro on Oct. 16. The band had plan to compete in BOA regionals in St. Louis, MO and in Grand Nationals in Indianapolis, IN this year. Unfortunately, their major fundraiser for the year, the Music City Invitational Band Contest got rained and muddied out. Instead of generating 20-30 thouand dollars in profits for the band program, the event suffered an actual loss of between 8 and 12 thousand dollars. This leaves the band program short approx. $40,000 for the year. As a result, McGavock has had to withdraw from the two competitions menioned above. The band may still be able to compete if the shortfall can be made up from donations from folks like yourselves. I, for one, have committed a donation of $200.00 to help replace these lost funds. These competitions are very important to th band members and especially to the seniors in the band since this will be their last opportunity to compete for a national title.I would like to ask each and every alumnus of McGavock High School to make a *tax deductible* donation to the McGavock HS Band Boosters to help with this serious shortfall of money.
