That what you felt
Would last and grow?
What makes you think
You know what it's like
To have ended a search
That took all your life?
Do think you're right
or simply wrong again?
Is it worth your life?
Is it worth every sin?
I don't want to argue
With myself anymore
I can't keep on fighting
This pointless internal war
So tell it true
Have you ever loved?
And was it the kind
The Bible speaks of?
One that's holy and pure
That seeks not its own
Love given to us
By God on the throne
There's only one true love
One that's perfect, not in part
That love is the only
True love of the heart
Have I ever loved?
What do you think?
I would never wish to lose it
Surely, my heart would sink
Have you ever loved?
Have you ever lived?
Remember that your heart
