Shane was silent for a few minutes before he spoke. �Go ahead Hmiel, im listening.� I said, nuzzling up to him. Shane began to speak, making sure he held on tightly to me. I guess he was afraid I would leave or something.
�I love you. I know that and I was so scared of how close I was getting to you. I went over to Beth�s that night and when I got there I was so angry that I was about to hit her. HIT HER! A girl!� Shane continued �When I thought about the whole thing, the fact that I almost hit a girl, something I would NEVER do just to protect you it scared the hell out of me. One thing led to another and it happened.� He said.
I already knew it happened, I just was in denial I guess. I mean that I knew but it just didn�t seem real until that moment. I sat there, not wanting to speak and say something that I might regret later. Instead I nuzzled away from Shane, pulling my legs up underneath me on the other side of the couch.
�Baby, what I am trying to say is that I don�t expect you to forgive me now or ever. I just want you to know that I love you and if I could chnge everything I would. But I cant, but what I can do is try and rebuild our relationship and that�s what I want most in the world.� He said, putting his hand on my thigh.
�Shane, I came here tonight with the almost certainty that I would take you back. But, I don�t want to get hurt again.� I sighed, fighting back the tears. Shane scooted closer to me and wrapped his arm around me protectively. �I swear to god I will never hurt you again� he whispered softly into my ear. I looked into his eyes, I could see it all. The remorse, the loss, the pain. I couldn�t help it, I cupped my hand on his cheek and pulled him close to my face. I leaned in and closed my eyes, allowing my lips to find the spot they had been so many times before.
I pulled back and looked at Shane, a smile grew across his face. �So you will let me try?� he asked, playing with my hair. �Yea� I said, biting my bottom lip.

The next morning I awoke and slid my hand across the bed. I found my intended spot and pulled myself closer to him. His eyes were closed but he had a smile on his face. I brushed my hand across his forhead, sweeping away the hair that had matted there throughout the night.
Shane slowly opened his eyes and looked at me. �God you have no idea how good it is to see you when I wake up� he said, rubbing his tired eyes. He rolled over and wrapped his arms around me, nuzzling my neck with his nose.
�I think we better get up� I said, attempting to pull the covers off myself. �Nuh uh� Shane groaned, pulling me back to his warm body.
I chuckled and continued to lay there and cuddle with him.

Shane and I walked through the garages in search of Dee and Kevin. We stopped when I pointed out Dee off talking to Shana and Melissa. �Im going over to see Jr. Ill call you in a bit� he said, kissing me on the cheek.
I walked up to the girls, �Mornin� I said. Dee turned around and smirked. �Well hey� she said, trying her hardest not to start grilling me about last night. Finally when she knew Shane was out of earshot she laid into me. �Dangit girl are you EVER going to make up your mind about that boy?� she asked, motioning to Shane. I smiled; I knew she was enjoying herself. �I did make up my mind� I said, turning to walk off. She grabbed my arm and pulled me back �and?...� she trailed off. I smirked �We got back together� I said, relieving her tension. Dee laughed and playfully shoved me �I knew you two would!� she said.
We continued standing around talking until the guys walked up. �Hey� Kevin said, planting a kiss on Dee, which she playfully wiped off. �I think Jr, Melissa, Jeremy, Shana, Shane, Shannon, You and I are all going out to eat. Is that ok with you?� Kevin asked, making sure he named off everyone. Dee agreed, and we all sat around deciding where we were going to eat.
During dinner, everyone was shocked that Shane and I had gotten back together. Needless to say they were quite happy, �at least Shane isn�t moping around anymore� Jr said chuckling.
We all ordered dinner and drinks. We sat around talking, when I heard a shrill giggle that I would recognize anywhere. I looked at Shane, and the look on his face told me that he heard it too.
We both turned our heads and looked in the direction of the laugh. �Looks like the Black Widow has another one in her web� I said, as everyone else looked in her direction. Jr quickly started laughing.
Shane decided that he would make sure that none of his friends got hurt by Beth. He stood up and walked over to the table. �Brian� he said, shaking his hand. �Um, I just wanted to warn you. Beth here is a Pit Lizard, and not the good kind either. Shes a trashy Pit Lizard� he said. Beth�s face turned red with anger. She stood up and slapped Shane across the face before she stomped out of the resturaunt. My eyes got big, �Hell no� I said bolting out the door after her.
