Amanda woke up the next morning, she rubbed her eyes adjusting to the sunshine beaming in through the window. Looking over at Brian asleep next to her she suddenly remembered what they had done the night before. She quickly got out of bed and got dressed, trying not to wake up Brian. She grabbed her keys and bolted out the door.
Amanda started up her car and sobbed as she pulled out of Brian's driveway. "God how could I have been so stupid!" she said, tears rolling down her cheek. Amanda knew that nothing would probably ever come from her and Brian's romp the night before. She knew her feelings for Bri but was almost sure he hadn't had the same ones. She continued to drive and think about the mistake she had made.
She pulled into her driveway and quickly bolted inside, hearing the door start to open of her neighbor. She slammed the door shut and headed straight for the bathroom. She turned on the water and waited for the tub to fill up. She slid in the warm water and closed her eyes, trying to forget the night before.
Meanwhile.....
"What?!?!" Brian said angrily into the phone. "No I can't come I don't feel good" with that he hung up. He slowly slid his hand over to the other side of the bed, it was empty. He opened his eyes and saw Mandy wasn't there. He took a deep breath and picked up his cell phone. Three rings, four rings, voicemail.
"Hey this is Mandy leave a message" the sweet voice on the other end said. "Manda it's Brian. Call me ASAP" he said before he hung up.
He got out of bed and headed to the shower. He knew he didn't regret the night before, but he wondered if she did.
Later that day....
Brian had tried to get up with Manda numerous times, with no luck. He finally got sick of her answering machine and headed over to her house.
He knocked on the door several times, he heard the T.V. on so he knew she was there. He tried the nob....... locked. "When did she start locking her door?" he wondered to himself, still pounding on the door. Finally, he decided he would use the key she had given him for when she was out of town.
Brian slowly opened the door, Amanda startled him when she quickly appeared from the kitchen. "Dammit Brian what the fuck!" she screamed "you scared me half to death" she said. Brian looked at her "sorry, you just were gone when I woke up. I didn't know why you left." he said. Manda looked at the floor. Brian walked up to her and took her into his arms. "What's wrong Manda panda?" he asked sincerely. Amanda started to cry and buried her face into his chest. "God Brian I had wanted last night for so long and then it happened and all I could think about was being a rebound and how I had lost my friend forever". Brian quickly put his finger to her lips "What do you mean rebound?" he asked "I wanted last night to happen, it wasn't a rebound dammit" he said sliding his finger on her chin and lifting her face so his eyes could meet hers. "Dang Mandy I have liked you forever, it was just to hard to ruin the friendship before. And then last night I realized that it wouldn't be ruining the friendship if it worked." Amanda sighed and hugged Brian tighter. Brian smiled at her, he slowly leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. "Now let's go eat im hungry" he said with a grin on his face.
Amanda and Brian had a quick dinner and went back to Brian's to watch T.V. Mandy fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow on Brian's lap, he knew she had a hard day so he left her be and headed into his own room to go to sleep.

Mandy could smell the breakfast that Bri was making, the smell of bacon and coffee filled the room. She hopped off the couch and shuffled her feet walking into the kitchen. "Ah" Brian said not turning to face her "I hear the sound of shuffling feet..... Yep, that's it Manda's up" he said sarcastically. Mandy slightly punched him in the arm, Bri played like it hurt. He rubbed his arm and made a silly face. Mandy chuckled at him as she poured herself a cup of coffee. "Sleep well?" she asked. Brian looked at her and smirked, not as well as I did the night before last. Brian made a plate for Manda and himself. They sat down and enjoyed breakfast together.
