The Next Morning.....
"Ughh" Brian moaned grabbing blindly at the coffee table in search of his cell phone. He tried to let his eyes adjust so he could see what the caller I.D. said, but it was no use.
"Hello?" he answered grogily, his eyes glanced over to a still sleeping Amanda. "Ok Ok i'll be there in a while" he answered before hanging up. He looked at Amanda and ran his hand across her cheek, "hey Mandy? Get up, I have to go to work". Amanda shifted in her spot but kept her eyes closed. "Noooooo" she groaned at Brian's persistant agitation. "I don't wanna" she said pushing his hand away and burying her face in the couch cushions. Brian chuckled to himself. He got up and started getting ready. He showered and got dressed, making sure his hair was straight he walked back into the living room. He glanced around the room, not seeing Amanda. "Wonder what made her leave" he thought to himself. He decided he would call her later. He grabbed his keys and headed over to Hendricks.
Amanda pulled up into the parking lot of her apartment. Her sisters car wasn't there, "good maybe I can get some work done" she mumbled to herself. She quickly shuffled her feet, trying to get into the house as soon as possible. As she put the key in the door she heard the sound she was trying most to avoid. "Hey there" the deep southern drawl said. "Hi Chuck" Mandy said with the roll of her eyes. "How are you this morning?" he asked. "Fine, 'cept I have alot of work to do" she answered huridly trying to cut off the conversation. "Hm, well maybe I can take you out tonight? Help ya relax a little after your long day." Amanda was creeped out, but still polite "no thanks I have plans" she said and quickly walked inside. Once inside she deadbolted the door, "god, he creeps me out" she thought to herself. She put her purse down and headed into the kitchen.
She sat down at the computer and started checking her e-mail. There was a few spam and one from her mom. Mandy promptly answered the letter her mom sent and continued checking.
Manda had been sitting at the computer for about an hour surfing the web when her cell phone rang. She picked it up and looked at the caller ID. "Hm, Brian" she said with a smile on her face.
"Hello?" she answered. There was a long pause before she asked again
"HELLO?" she said louder into the phone.
"Oh crap" Brian said appologetically "i'm sorry Manda Panda..... um you wanna come over and hang out again tonight?" he asked. Mandy chuckled at the nickname Bri had given her when they were in High School.
Amanda thought about her work and wondered of she could get it done in time. "Um yeah sure. What do you wanna do?" she asked.
Brian thought to himself for a moment "we can watch a movie and you can make dinner?" he half asked half told.
"Oh so now you are just TELLING me what to do?" she asked playfully.
Brian blushed on the other end of the phone "No, I just like your cooking." he answered quietly.
"Alright, what time?"....
They decided on 5 o' clock. Amanda went into her darkroom to try and get some work done.
