March 13, 2005 Wow, whatta game! That was SO fun! I hope nobody is irreparably injured! Hope everyone can make it to Saturday's rematch, it should be an amusing affair to see their players 1st parade into the penalty box and then off the ice because of >3 penalties!

February 3 2005 Well. Everyone knows what happened. We gave it everything we had but we were hindered by an absurd and uninspiring Sudden Death OT rule. 5-on-5 with no goalies?? If you're going to take a player off the ice, take off a FORWARD not the GOALIE! Speaking of their twitchy little goalie...actually never mind. A thank you to Holly [no Melissa, not Molly and no Catherine, not Collie!]

Guess what? Our next game is on Monday vs SOUTHLAND. We can kick them to the curb then! Let's make a bigger gap in our lead! Stay tuned for an ice time prior to that. Darren said he'll look into it.

January 31 2005 Wow. That was stunning. SWAT, we all gave 100% and that was the difference, especially in the 2nd period. Trails West didn't know what hit them! And Marie's amazing human hattrick was nothing to scoff at either, lol. Thank you to Karissa for her commendable effort in the absence of Sam. All our hard work has put us into a semifinal with Southland on Wednesday. They beat Midnapore 4-1, but seriously, who couldn't? Everyone do your best to make it to Tuesday's practice please! And Ashley will stab you in the face if you miss the game! Here's my prettified version of the MHW schedule.

January 29 2005 Remember $5 for pizza @ Smashley's! I removed the pictures as per parental request, they are now behind passworded gates at a new site. The girls [except TRINA because she doesn't COME HERE and give us her EMAIL address] have gotten the password in their email. I've asked Laura to pass this email on to the parentals.

January 23 2005 Every bring 5$ for pizza for supper on Saturday..You can also bring chips and snacks and stuff to do us through the night. I will be supplying chips to but the more the better lol.

Everyone can come over at about 4pm or later.Feel free to bring movies and games if you want. Since it is a sleepover everyone can bring sleeping bags and pillows and what not. If anybody wants and it is nice out we can play street hockey, so if anyone has a extra set of street hockey pads,blocker and catcher bring them, which means we need our street hockey sticks too! Since I am sure we will end up playing DDR on xbox, I have three controllers so if anyone has an extra plz bring it. Umm.. what else should we have......... oo feel free to bring all ur music and what not.

If anybody else has ideas let me know because i still have all this time to plan and it is gonna be a big party!!

January 22 2005 WOW! Fantastic effort tonight! Ladies, we really turned it up when Sam had to leave the game, you should all be SO proud! Congrats to Sam and Amanda on their shut out! Here's a question, will Zoey keep using exclamation marks to finish every sentence?! Yes! I've added the current standings to the schedule page and removed the points stats because I keep missing games.!

Good job of selling 3-on-3 Tickets ladies, we scored some more money because we sold 80 tickets! Just FYI, the Pond Hockey Tourney earned $40 000 for KidSport and $75 000 for Calgary Minor Hockey teams [that means us too!]

January 19 2004 Barb has suggested doing another bottle drive to raise money for the potential Stettler Tourney. Just a heads up.

January 18 2004 SWAT, we've been invited by Stettler to attend their February Tournament!
It is February 5th and 6th in Stettler.
The tournament cost is $475.00 with 3 games guarenteed.
Stettler Hotel has rooms available at $25.00/night (Not fancy, but very clean)

We do have a conflict with the Esso Minor Hockey Week Championship game which is February 5th at 4:45-6:16
Stettler can schedule our 2 Saturday games for the morning, but this would mean 3 games in one day.
We need to let Stettler know by Friday morning.
Teams in so far are: Innisfail, Stettler, Red Deer, Camrose

We need to decide by this Friday whether we will go. I assume that if everyone comes, and we have nothing to subsidize the cost, it will cost $32/ea. What do you think??

Then THIS is the scholarship for you! Women At Centre Ice has a $5000 scholarship available for 17 year-old girls who are going to continue hockey [U of C, SAIT, Oval Xtreme!] and get an education. Check it out! Or keep it in mind for next year, or the year after.
