Story: This movie is supported by "JAL Okinawa campaign" of the Japan Air Lines Co., Ltd. The airline uses this movie to run its campaign. It is a story of young people, sugarcane cutting, and change of heart. Young people come to a remote island of Okinawa to cut sugarcane as part-time job. Each has different background. They live together in an old couple's house who is their employers. Yutaka who is regular sugarcane worker comes to lead these people. They have to harvest and deliver approximately 70,000 sugarcanes before the end of March,otherwise the old couple facing financial problem will be in deep trouble. Eventhough they follow Yataka's guidance, they work very slow because of unfamiliar with the job. The job is harsh, and some of them are thinking about leaving. Yutaka gets accident. He can not help with sugarcane mowing, and it is only 10 days left. Are they going to get it done in time without Yutaka? If not, what is the destimy of an old couple?

My thought of this movie: I have not seen this one yet. Of course, I don't come out yet. How can I wacth it!!!!(^_^). I wanna see it. The movie is supported by JAL Okinawa campaign. It takes places on the beautiful island. This movie is advertised to get more tourists to go to Okinawa, so It should show beauty of the island (and Nari's on it). Story: [Warning: Contain Spoiler] Azumi is based on a manga. It is the story of a young assassin girl, Azumi (Ueto Aya) who was raised up with other 9 young assassin boys by a warrior whom son was killed in the war. The warrior received the mission from a monk to stop the war. To success the mission, he adopted 10 orphan children whom families were killed in the war. He raised and trained them in the mountains to be great assassins. They grew up together like a family, and the warrior was not only their Master but also father to them.

One day after all ten became teenagers; the warrior decided that they're ready to pursue their mission. However he wanted to make sure that his assassins had tough minds to succeed the mission. He asked them to pair with a person they liked the most. Then he asked each person to kill their teammate. (^-^).He wanted to make sure that his assassins had the strong minds and were able to do anything to get the mission done. At first they hesitated. Ukiha (Narimiya Hiroki) was taking a deep breath before he decided to be the first one to kill their beloved friend and brother. "It is Master order" said he. Finally they started killing. It was end with tear and sorrow scream from the winners. Azumi paired with Nachi (Oguri Shun). They both seem to be in love with each other. They were the last couple to start fighting. "Azumi, this is our destiny" said Nachi. They both started swinging their swords to each other. Their fighting ended with Nachi's blood allover Azumi's face. And then he collapsed and died.

Only Azumi, Ukiha (Narimiya Hiroki), Nagara (Ishigaki Yuma), Amagi(Kohashi Kenji), and Hyuga were left alive. They and Master departed their beloved mountains. Their mission of stoping the war is to kill people who were leading each side of the war. Their first task was to kill Nagamasa Asano who was Asano clan leader. They succeeded easily. The second task was to kill Kiyomasa Kato. However they were tricked and killed double that looked exactly like Kato instead. Unaware of poisoned ninja's weapon, Amagi got injured. Kato sent assassins to kill them.

Unknown of unsuccessful task, Master and all five arrived at a town. There was a street performance there. Azumi, Nagara, Hyuga, and Amagi quickly asked permission from the Master to watch the performance. It was a beautiful street performer, Yae caught Hyuga's eyes. He had a crush on her. However he found out that Yae'ld leave the town tomorrow at noon.

Tomorrow came. Hyuga rushed to see Yae for the last time. Azumi and Hyuga accompanied him while Amagi was still sleeping. After they left, Master received news about their last unsuccessful task. Ukiha woke Amagi up and found out that Amagi was poisoned. Meanwhile the street performers were leaving. They ran into Kato's assassins. They got killed. Only Yae's left and running away. Hyuga, Azumi, and Nagara came to rescue her. They killed all Kato's assassins. They took Yae back with them. They found out about Amagi and unsuccessful task. Amagi is dieing. Master was leaving to finish the task. "Let's go" Master ordered. Hyuga, Amagi, and Azumi were confused about leaving Amagi to die. Before these three could decide if they would leave Amagi, Master raised his sword to kill Amagi. Azumi aimed her sword to stop Master. Ukiha aimed his to Azumi. Hyuga also aimed his sword to Ukiha. They four stopped their swords before reaching the other. "Your sword can not kill even insect at this time. You are not an assassin anymore" said Master and then he left with Hyuga and Ukiha. Amagi secretly pulled sword to end his life and the trouble.

While Hyuga was saying farewell to Yae. Bijomaru Mogumi, a weird Kato's assassin was shown up. To protect Yae, Hyuga fought with his life. Bijomaru was mean and crazy. Obviously he was better than Hyuga. He could just kill Hyuga, but he just had his fun moment by getting Hyuga into pains little by little until he died.
Azumi was going with Yae to Yae's town. Master, Hyuga, and Ukiha broke into a camp to kill Kato before they found out it was a trick. They were surrounded by Kato's warriors and hired assassins. Master confronted with Kato. However he got caught by Kato's warriors. Ukiha and Nagara fought with their lives, but the enimies were too many. They were surrounded by hundred of Kato's warriors. Nagara decided they might not be able to kill Kato this time. He'll come back later to kill Kato. Even though Ukihahe was surrounded by outnumber of strong, good warriors, he fought bravely and killed as many as he could. No one seemed to be his match until Bijomaru showed up and got him injured, but he still used all his strenght he had left to kill his enimies. Many swords and spears were put into his body. He collapsed while trying his last effort to swing his sword to Bijomaru.

Azumi decided he could not go with Yae. She came to the camp to rescue her Master. Kato's worriors and Bijomaru were waiting for her. Bijomaru put his sword into Master's body in front of her. She fought with Kato's warriors. Obviously she was not only good but very fast. One after another got killed by Azumi, but they might be too many for her. One group of Kato's warriors was shooting at Azumi. Consequently many warriors including outlaw assassins that Kato hired got killed. They were furious and separated into two sides. They started killing each other. Bijomaru went crazy with blood. He killed whoever was on his way. Between the riot, Azumi was hiding in a hut. She noticed that Nagara was still alive. Nagara forced a bomb into hands of one hired assassin and bravely holding assassin's hands tightly, refusing to let assassin to get rid of the bomb. The camp was bombed, and many were killed. The fight continued. Finally everybody got killed except Azumi and Bijomaru. They fought. Azumi put her sword into Bijomaru's neck too fast to let him know, ending life of blood crazy Bijomaru.

She came back to mountains where she grew up. This mountains were full of memory. She though of the time when they were together, the happiest time for her. Then she departed to kill Kato. Kato was in the ship, thinking that no one could harm him. Nobody noticed when Azumi was on the ship until she confront with surprised Kato and killed him with only one sword swing. She jumped into the ocean and disappeared in front of Kato's troop.

At the camp, Nagara was not dead yet. It seemed like he was unconscious and lied under debris. Azumi went back to the camp and met him. Nagara was happy to see his last alive family member.

Nari in Azami: Ukiha was the closet to Master. He was loyal to Master the most. He would do whatever Master ordered. He was the first to kill his partner when Master told them. It did not mean he was a heartless guy. He was not happy to do so , but the mission was very thing for him. He could do anything to pursue the mission. He did not reluctant if he had to give his life to get the mission done. He was tough , quiet most of the time and concentrated on the mission. He was also worry about his friends even though he took Master's side all the time. He was worry when he saw Nagara got hurt when they broke into the camp. He and other nine were raised up together. They were only family he had. They were sister, brothers and friends to him and to all of them.
