| Safflower - Saffron - Sage - A personal favorite of mine. Saint John's Wort - Sandlewood - Sarsparilla - Savory - Skullcap - Senna - Snapdragon - Spearmint - An extrememly invasive plant, as is peppermint, a similair herb. Both must be kept in thier own enclosures in a garden or else carefully trimmed to prevent it's infesting the entire thing.. I prefer to use a raised bed that has been surrounded by a wooden box. Strawberry - Sunflower - Sweetgrass - Tamarac - Tarragon - There are two common varieties, french and russian, the French is far supierior for culinary purposes. The russion variety is much easier to cultivate. Thistle - Thyme - Another favorite of mine. Lovely scent, woody stemmed plant. Many varieties, none of which grow much over a foot high.
