NARADA SAVANA (HEAR) FOUNDATION, A NON-PROFIT SERVICE ORGANIZATION RENDERING SERVICE TO HEARING IMPAIRED CHILDREN & THEIR PARENTS.
FOUNDING :
Narada, a little boy, 2 ½ years of age developed a hearing impairment in 1992. His mother and maternal grandmother lost no time in following expert advice : “Do not waste time finding out why ? but rehabilitate the child to ‘listen’ and to ‘speak’”. Reading all they could lay their hands on, attending seminars/workshops, short term training programmes, joining parent groups, admitting Narada to a pre-school for the Deaf and also teaching there themselves, they gathered sufficient expertise to practice full time therapy at home. At age five, on admitting Narada to a normal school, they decided to use their knowledge and skill to help hearing impaired children. Thus on 27.08.1999, the Foundation was inaugurated.
