| As a Japanese, I would like to pay homage to Dr. Hirofumi Uzawa by presenting him first. He is perhaps the most widely known Japanese economist in the world. I respect him for his compassion toward underrepresented people and his respect for social justice. In other words, he is all what respectable intellectual should be in Japanese culture. He has got an impressive beard as shown above, which also manifests that he is an exceptional Japanese man. |
