KAMDEV :
Kamdev, as his name implies, was a hit with females ( at least he thought so) . A stickler for not following the happenings in class, he never seemed
to lose sleep over academic matters. He never seemed to lose sleep over non-academic matters too. Come to think of it, he slept almost all the time. That is of course
when he was not playing badminton or discussing the issue of lack of co-operation and
interaction between A Base and the other two A Blocks.
CC :
The genesis of CC's name is hard to explain. I will simply concede that
his name pays homage to the reasons that led Vatsayana to concieve "Kamasutra".
CC has a panache for helping people out - he actually scoured all over bangalore looking for
"Motichur ke Laddus" just beacuse some cute little thing from his college(IITD) expressed her desire to
taste that particular sweet dish.
GURU DRON :
When the Guru spoke even the profs listened. His room was the music centre and theatre
of A Base. Though he was the most experienced(I hate to say "the oldest"- hence "experienced")
member of A Base,he was very young at heart . Multi faceted personality - he was a
sportsman,DJ,bar-tender all rolled into one.Shocked junta when
he actually managed to dance with a femme fatal in one of the parties .
Favourite movie was "Mission Impossible(MI)" till he finally realized that MI was
indeed impossible. Then claimed that all movies were his favourites.
BHAI :
Yours truly. Please refer to "About Me" section.
BHEDIYA:
The "Naak" of A Base as far as academics was concerned - he ended up being a DML in
fact (can u believe it??) This caped crusader ( thanks
to his chronic ailment, he always had a shawl draped round
him) always tried hard to be a "pseude", but alas
fell short by a looooooooooong way.The Bhediya was happy
with whatever "shikar" he could find, but on most occassions his eyes were fixed on a MAD goat . Highly resilient , this guy,
for one, knew exaxtly what he wanted from IIMB (
inspite of the confusion created by the rest of his
wingmates). That resilience and focus probably led him to change his place of residence in the second year. The only deserter from A-Base's original inmates. In IIMB all wings undergo an upheaval of change in the second year. Had it not been for Bhediya, we would have set some kind of an unique record in the annals of IIMB history.
VERMAJI :
"Naari Nark Ka Dwar Hain" ( I wont translate..) proclaimed this
diminutive ex boxer. But even before he had actually finished his sentence, he was all set to go through the " Nark Ka Dwar". Caretaker of the girlfriends of
his buddies ( outside IIMB, of course), he actually got mysterious calls late in the night. While at IIMB, he was deeply religious and a firm believer in the virtues of POOJA.
MAKS DHIMS:
Innocent and sweet- those are the words that will strike you when you first meet this guy.
And thats exactly what the A 1st inmates thought during Diwali preparations. We , of course, know better.Maks
Dhims had a soft corner for all things feminine - cant blame
him though for knowing where his priorities should lie.
