MUSIC

When you think of music in A Base , you think of #105 (Guru Dron's room).
A 3,000 watt system that always blares as loud as it is allowed to ( restrictions imposed by
inmates of A 1st), it defines the core-competency of A Base. The range of favorites range from rock to blues to
ghazals to filmi to vintage hits. We are a romantic lot ( in spite
of a combined experience summing to 15 years)
and the music that we play reflect shades of our
romanticism (sigh, moon,swooon...)
MOVIES :
Like the rest of the crowd in IIMB, A base is also knee deep into movies. Cast no bar, language no bar,
certification no bar.....as long as there's a starlet in it, we are all for it.
Our top 3 favorite movies ( by consensus):
1. Indrani
2. Madhuri
3. Karishma-e-Kudrat
(All the above movies were released around 1935-60 , when a
majority of the A Base population were young)
4. Aparna
(This movie was released in 1981, when yours truly was - sigh - u know, a bit
younger)
BADMINTON :
We are the place where the IIMB junta comes searching for baddy rackets and
shuttles. Badminton has become
a major fascination with us, especially with the slightly older A base guys ( Exception is Bhediya who does not play at all - but then he was born only
a few moons back). The "Law of conservation of Badminton Racquets" was first propounded here
in A Base. We started off with 3 racquets and whatever the transactions of lending and
borrowing racquets during
the course of the day, the law states that at the end of the day we will still be left with 3 racquets.
GIRLS:
Did I mention somewhere that we are romantics? Well, I am slightly mistaken. WE ARE ALL
DIE HARD ROMANTICS ( who said experienced guys were sober, mature
and that kind of crap?).

She is the one who started it all. The Guru fell for her hook line and sinker and so the chelas had to follow suit.She
is now history though.
SANJU
BABA:
The girl with the attitude. And of course the walk that
would make even the Deadly Dutt look like a school kid. A
Base's current favourite.
TITLEE
: Her
dresses are more colourful than a butterfly's wings .Even
the Pseudo seude (Procter Raj) was impressed. Little
wonder she easily flitted into A Base's favourite list.
Now, only if she could talk like a butterfly.

DUSKY:
With all due
apologies to Hash ( he'll understand), the once upon a time favorite of A Base and the object of all dedications on Guru Drons
juke box. Some say that A Base even rigged some kind of a poll to help Dusky win.
