(9 days in the German speaking part of Switzerland)

I found out about the ISC-Symposium entirely by accident - a guy I'd just met on an Objectivism forum told me he was participating. That was three days before the deadline. What with the play I was involved in and the mounting schoolwork, I didn't want to start writing a 2500 word hardcore econs essay.. but there was the promise of Switzerland...

I wrote a hurried ragbag of thoughts on the European Union and capitalism in general on the very last day and sent it off about an hour before the deadline.. one of the few times I've handed anything in early. A month later, there was an e-mail from the organisers saying I was invited to Switzerland, all expenses paid, for five days. It really felt quite unreal. Then the lunch invitation from the Swiss embassador in Singapore landed in my inbox and it started to kick in. Switzerland, baby!
