A Small Price

Did you have a friend
You can’t forget.
Whose loss of friendship
You regret?

You grew together
Through the years.
What turned that sharing
into tears?

A careless remark
Hurt inside
It’s not forgiven
Due to pride?

It isn’t to late
To do what’s right.
Just make the first move
Reunite.

Take hold of paper
Pen and ink
You’ll find it simpler
Then you think.

You’ll see the effort
Soon will be
Small price to pay
For friendship is free.
