In Memory Kenneth. Died June 1977 28 Years Ago
This is the last picture we had taken together before Kenneth lost his life in the Missouri River on June 2nd 1977.
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am that swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep.
When I come to the end of the day And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared, Miss me but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take And each must go alone. It's all a part of the maker's plan, A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds - Miss me, but let me go
