Looking for an innovative and challenging exposure in computerized library and information environment that can fully utilize my capabilities. Responsible position in the area of library, information and knowledge management.

Experiences:

Organization:  Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, (An autonomous body under the ministry of HRD) Laduna Distt. Mandsaur (M.P) since October 2004.

Responsibilities:

·         Automation of library activities and services through indigenous library software developed in Microsoft Access.

·         Database Management through WINISIS library software.

·         Cataloguing and bibliography of books with WINISIS

·         Organisation and management of library activities to support the curriculum and co curriculum activities of the Vidyalaya.

·         Ready and long range reference services to JNV members through reference sources and internet.

Organization:  National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi, from August 2004 to October 2004.

Responsibilities:  

·         Cataloguing of books and non-book materials according to AACR-II and data entry of these documents in LibSys Software.

·         Working as a System Administration for LibSys Software, maintaining and updating of library databases.

·         Registration of NCAER members, in addition to these serve at circulation counter and supervise the subordinate staff.

·         Artha Suchi Database : A bibliographical database on Indian Economic Literature covering journal articles and working papers received in the NCAER Library. The database has more than 40,000 citations and is updated regularly. A printed version of this database is published quarterly as "Artha Suchi: An Index to Indian Economic Literature".

·         Current Awareness Service in Economics (CASE): A database of newspaper articles and news items with more than 5000 references which is updated daily.

·         Working Paper Database :A database of all working papers being received in NCAER library from various national and international institutions: International Monetary Fund, Institute of Social Studies, Centre for Development Economics, Population Council, Centre for Development Studies, Gujarat Institute of Development Research, Institute of Social and Economic Change, Bangalore, World Institute for Development Economics Research, etc.

·         Current Awareness Service (WP): Latest Working Papers Received.

·         NCAER Unpublished Reports Database : A unique database comprising more than 700 NCAER Reports that are not published

Responsibilities:  

·         Responsible for accessioning, invoices processing of books, Video Cassettes, & CD-ROMs. Cataloguing of books and non-book materials according to AACR-II. Assigning subject headings through LCSH 25^th edition. Data entry of these documents in LibSys Software.

·         Organization and management of periodicals and journals (serial control) and article indexing in LibSys Software. E-database searching: EBSCO, Proquest, ABI Inform Global and science direct. Clipping of Newspaper through Internet and updating clipping folder.

·         Working as a System Administration for LibSys Software, maintaining and updating of library databases. Provide user orientation, reference / referral and reprography services, compilation of subject bibliographies, registration of NRC members and printing NRC membership cards, in addition to these serve at circulation counter and supervise the subordinate staff.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for Acquisition of books and CD-ROMs, Cataloguing through AACR-II, Classification through DDC (20^th ed.), printing of spine labels and Circulation through LibSys Software. Cataloguing, storing and uploading soft documents in LibSys software for online searching. Maintaining and updating library databases in LibSys software. Database searching through Capital Line, Prowess and CMIE. 
• Other work includes Internet surfing, handling online queries, scanning and photocopying, compilation of bibliography, providing CAS & SDI, besides that resource sharing through DELNET, American Center and British Council Library.

• The study focused on the technological development of Information Technology (IT) and comparative analysis of the use and implementation of IT in the libraries of national repute documentation centres i.e. INSDOC and NASSDOC, New Delhi. Work is also focused on the impact of IT on library services and user’s needs and their information seeking behaviors. 
• National Science Library has large infrastructure of IT than NASSDOC library so it provide effective, quickly and more comprehensive library services to their clients in compare to NASSDOC library.
