Part-6

Some of the Help keys are not used a lot but these are some you might like to use.

Some are used with other keys. Be careful if you experiment. It would be best to look through the Shortcut lists from Help and pick out any others that you think would be useful for you.

If you really want to get carried away with ignoring the mouse more you could try some of these.

1 Hold the Alt while you type the underlined letter of a Menu heading

2 Type the underlined letter of the word you want in the Menu list

Examples:

Alt+F (File) type A (for Save As)

Alt+I (Insert) type B (for Break) You can then type the underlined letter in the new dialogue box

BUT watch out – sometimes Alt plus the underlined letter is needed in the second box

Example

Alt+T (Tools) type C (for Customize) When the Customize box comes up you need to hold Alt and type the underlined letter. For example – Alt+C for Commands

So have fun, explore, pick out shortcuts that you know will be useful in your typing.

I hope you find some of these Keyboard Shortcuts will save you some energy.

They can be quite useful if your mouse suddenly doesn’t work when you have typing to do.
