Annotated Bibliography
Adams-Leeming, David.  Encyclopedia of Creation Myths.
        ABC-Clio.  Denver:  1994.
This is an excellent source for finding creation myths.  It contains any creation myth you can think of.  If there is something special about the myth you can expect to find it here.  I found that this source gave a great description of the Norse creation myth.
Andrews, Tamra.  Legends of the Earth, Sea, And Sky.
       ABC-Clio.  Denver:  1998.
This book gave an excellent interpretation of the cow symbol.  It contained a little bit of information on archetypes but was mostly on the historical facts behind myths and legends.
Campbell, Joseph.   The Mythical Image. Princeton
         University  Press.  Princeton:  1974.
This book is full of useful facts about mythology.  The author, Joseph Campbell relates aspects of psychology to religion especially religious myths or stories.  However this book did not contain alot of useful information on the Norse creation myth and how psychology relates to it.  Campbell only discussed Norse mythology as it relates to literature.
Jung, Carl G..   Man and His Symbols.   Dell Publishing.
       New York:  1964.
This book was enormously useful in my research.  It explains Jung's theories in an easily understandable manner.  It gives definitions and traits for several different archetypes.  It provides descriptions of the self and the mandala.
"The Germanic Myth of Creation".  Accessed on 31 October
         2000.  Available at:
http://www.dickinson.edu/~eddyb/mythology/Creation-1.html
This site provides a very good depiction of the myth.  The site itself contains some very interesting pictures of the mandala.
