All right, before you start thinking and assume that I have no idea what I'm doing, this page *will* have an actual layout, unlike the archives. Unfortunately, I haven't quite decided how everything should be organized. There are a few reasons for this. The primary reason being that I don't have enough to organize. However, when I actually get off of my ass and write some stuff, you can expect a much better layout. For the record, I *had* a lot of things, which I would have graciously added, but my computer ( May as well be a calculator with a big, fucking monitor) is a complete piece of junk, so I lost all of it. I would've backed everything up, but I was lazy. Anyway, I'm rambling again, so I'll just post my review of "Bleach".
Bleach (TV)

Rating: 13+ (Language and violence)

Genre(s): Adventure, Comedy, Shounen, (Male demographic*) and Paranormal

Year: 2004

Plot Summary: The anime takes place in modern-day Japan (Probably Tokyo) and focuses on Kurosaki Ichigo, a 15 year old student, that has the ability to see and touch 'ghosts'. One night, he crosses paths with Kuchiki Rukia, a Shinigami (Death God) who hunts malevolent ghosts, called "Hollows". During a confrontation with a particularly powerful hollow, Kuchiki is injured and has Kurosaki to fight off the monster by turning him into a Shinigami. And so begins their "quest" (For lack of a better word...) to vanquish Hollows.

My opinion: I'll be honest. I didn't have much of an interest in this anime. when I first saw it on AnimeSuki. Personally, I thought the idea sounded a bit cliched. (I know there is an accent, but my keyboard is fucked...) Despite my lack of interest, I downloaded it anyway. Mainly because of it's name. Bleach is the name of Nirvana's first album, (R.I.P. Kurt) and I am a huge fan. Secondly, I was impressed by the artwork. It isn't as detailed as, say, X (TV), but it does look a lot like Peace Maker Kurogane, an anime which has to be in my top 10 somewhere. Of course, I wouldn't have even been at Animesuki if they would hurry up and fan-sub the third Re: Cutey Honey OVA.
Nonetheless, from what I've seen, Bleach looks like it may turn into something good. I'm not very fond of the music used for the intro, though. I can't stand Orange Range. >.<; Beyond that, the rest of the music sounds really nice, and it generally fits the situation. I'm honestly not sure what they'll do with the plot, but so long as it holds true to the comedy it presented in the first episode, it should still be worth buying/renting, when and if it is licensed in America. It's kind of hard to tell, though. Abe Noriyuki, the director, has some experience under his belt, so to speak, but not all of it is good. *Cough* Yu Yu Hakusho... *Cough* I love Banner of the Stars, though. ^.^
All in all, I'd give it a three out of five. Don't get me wrong. I love it so far, and if it keeps it up, I'll definately give it a four or five, but at this point it could really go either way.
