Out with the old, in with the new

January 27: Well since I just refound this site by a random google search, I think I may end up reformating with help from a friend. More to come soon, and visit Metroboards.com!

Jackets Shut Out Sharks

Feb 12: Rick Nash scored in the first 10 minutes of the first period and that was all the Jackets needed to defeat the San Jose Sharks in Nationwide Arena. The goal was Nash's first game winner of the year. The shutout was Denis' 3rd of the season with the other two coming against Calgary and Phoenix. All 3 of his shutouts came at home. The 1-0 victory was the first time in frachise history that the Jackets have won a game 1-0.

Jackets come back from a 3 goal deficit, tie Canucks

Feb 5: The Columbus Blue Jackets acomplished something that had never happened in the history of the club. The Cnucks scored 3 quick goals in the 2nd period, and seemingly had the game won. The Blue Jackets didn't give up, and the effort payed off. With under two minutes left in the 2nd period Tyler Wright scored to make the score 4-2. Sillingers goal put the game back in reach, but there still was a climb. The turning point was what followed in the 2nd period. On a power play with less then a minute left Sillinger scored to make the score 4-3 going into the 3rd period. The Jackets were back in the game, and they had the momentum. The game looked to be lost again late in the 3rd period when the score was still 4-3. Scott Lachance took a 4 minute penalty for high sticking with about five minutes left in the game. The Jackets didn't give up and it payed off. Darren Van Impe scored his first ever goal as a Jacket, shorthanded none the less, to tie the score 4-4. This was the first time in the history of the Columbus Blue Jackets that they have come back from a three goal deficit. Up next for the Jackets are the Nashville Predators on Saturday.

Maclean lights a fire under the Jackets

Jan 20: The Blue Jackets came out hot and put it to the Chicago Blackhawks 5-1. The Jackets scored 3 goals in the first period and by the second Tibo had been pulled. Scoring goals for the Jackets were Nash, Marshall, Whitney, Pronger, and Vyborny. Up next for the Jackets is the Dallas Stars on January 22.
