Cassie sat on the couch, staring at the spot where Justin had been.

What had just happened?

Well, she knew what happened, Justin had kissed her. Maybe the better question was, why had she reacted as she had? As soon as he had touched her face, all of her thoughts had seemed to fly out the window. When he had slowly leaned over and then brushed his lips against hers for that breif moment, she could have sworn that her heart had stopped for a moment. Only when he pulled away from her and his eyes opened to revel their aquamarine depths did her wits seem to return to her. Her throughts ran throught her head so fast that she couldnt grasp on one coherent one. Before she could question anything, he had jumped up and ran out as if the devil himself was now occupying the room.

She sighed and pushed herself off of the couch, a small headache beginning to form. There was nothing quite like getting kissed by someone whom you considered one of your best friends, who already had a girlfriend of his own, and then having such confusing thoughts and feelings over it.

She flicked the light on as she walked into the small kitchen, her thoughts still running wild throught her head. She crossed the room in only a few steps and grabbed the tea kettle off the stove so that she could re-fill it.

Why had Justins kiss affected her so much?

She turned and placed the kettle back on the stove, turning the burner on high before retreiving a cup from the cabinet. Just as she pulled her arm down, there was an urgent knocking on her door.

Its open! She called out as she reached into the plastic container containing the tea bags. It was probably just Justin again, or maybe one of the others. She listened as the door opened and closed softly, then footsteps. Im in the kitchen! She called out once again. Hey, you want some tea?

The footsteps stoped for a moment just outside the kitchen, but there was no reply to her question. The footsteps continued towards her and she began to turn around, but before she could view the person, a cloth was shoved into her face. She tryed to scream, but the cloth muffled the sound. An idea occured to her and she acted as thought whatever chemical the cloth had been soaked in had worked its magic. She made her body limp against the mans.

The man pulled the cloth away from her face, thinking that she had indeed breathed in the chemical. As soon as he did Cassie gasped for air and kicked backwards.

Her aim was off and she only managed to kick him in the leg.

Stupid bitch. The man growled out as he pulled her back and placed the cloth back over her mouth as she drew in a breath to scream. Youll pay for that.

This time when Cassie fell limp against him, she wasnt acting.

He hoisted her over his shoulder and began to walk out of the apartment, a smile on his face. Now he had them both. Now the fun would begin.
