This website was designed with the purpose of expanding the business of Ed Alvarez, who founded the store DadShirtStore. It began during the 90s when his father passed away and he wanted to honor him because his father has a passion and love for wearing funny t-shirts. Now that the business is expanding Ed wanted to reach more audience and through the website he can do that and reach more customers all over the world.
Using colors that are simple and appeal to audience of all ages, it is important to emphasize the simpleness of the site. He believed that the less fancy the site is the more it will make the visitors to focus on the product. They wont be distracted with all other things that are unecessary to purchase an item. Using the css style page to control most part of the website is a tremendous help because it makes it easier to have conntrol of the individual components of the site.
The first page which is the index, using the column and row on the css to align the photos of the t-shirts on sale. When the mouse hover on the photos of the shirts, it automatically enlarges it to have the visitors of the site a better idea of what the shirt wil look like without leaving the page. Each product also has their own page to emphasize the product much more. There is also an order page wherein theire is a form that customers can enter their information and a drop down menu of the items available for purchase that they can choose from. There is also a contact page where visitors of the site can feel free to reach out to anhthing that they want to talk about mainly about the product or the site
Improving the website is an ongoing process so in the future there are a few things that would be done in order to improve both the aesthetics and the functionality fo the site. First of all having a secured form of payment has to be done in order for customers to pay for the t-shirts they want to order. Adding more products is a must and when there is enough product there should be a way to catagorized them. The categfory then would be added to the header. If there are more products then a search field should be available on the top right corner fo the site. Resizing the forms on the contact page to make it look more better would also be on the agenda. The fonts and the style and color should also be considered for improvement to make it easier for the visitor's of the page to read the information.
