Friday Mornings: Meet walking Leader Janet Smith and other White Rock Lake lovers and exercise enthusiasts for an enjoyable walk at the Lake. The group meets at various lacations. Walk time is between 8 and 9 am; email Janet to find out this week's meeting spot and start time.

2003 Friday Morning Walk Leaders

  • 1st Friday: Business and Community Networking
    Leader: Leslie Casey, owner, CPR Training & More..., offering individual and group CPR, AED, First Aid, Classes , 10,000 Steps a Day Programs for Businesses , CE Offerings for RMTs. and Community Classes.
    1st Friday sometimes means a special guest! Bring lots of business cards!
  • 2nd Friday: Nutritional and Exercise Education
    Leader: Kimberly Nelson, Owner, Custom Fitness, a fitness consulting and training business. Author, Healthy Lifestyles Program. Kimberly brings a copy of a healthy recipe and exercise move for each walker.
  • 3rd Friday: Relax with a Stress Reduction Pose prior to walking
    Leader: JoAnn Matray, owner, Quiet Pearl, LLC, yoga and meditation instructor in private or corporate settings.
  • 4th Friday: Yummie protein shake recipes, a healthy whey to start your day
    Leader: Janet Smith. When she can tear herself from the lake, she markets all natural nutritional and environmental products.

Winfrey Point is easy to find from Garland Road...

Turn on to Emerald Isle from Garland Road. Watch for Barbec's and Jack Johnson's Bikes! (Sunday walks start here)
Follow Emerald Isle until it ends, then turn left and head up the hill to Winfrey Point!
There's quite a view from the Winfrey Point hill!
