about KiSS

KiSS (kisekae set system) was created in japan in the early 90s to port fan art dolls from paper to digital. it spread over the internet gaining lots of fans worldwide
it is basically an interactive system based on layered bitmap graphics
it also supports various grades of scripting (fKiSS) and color-depth (color table palettes to cKiSS true color)
dolls are distributed in lzh (an open source compression format) packages and can be played on various platforms using the appropriate program
the most complete list of viewers can be found on the big KiSS page (mantained by dov sherman), which also holds the primate of the biggest KiSS archive on the internet (subscription required)
KiSS authors and fans express themselves in a plethora of sites, forums, mailing lists, groups, journals. the invisible KiSS links page (created by the invisible phan and mantained by tea) is the best starting point for your browsing needs
