:: Effective & Nice - Patterns ::

1. Open a new document of dimension as follows:

Width=3 pixels
Height=3 pixels
Mode=RGB Color
Contents="Transparent"

2. Make it Zoom by using "Navigator" or by "ZOOM Tool" from the "Tools Pallette" to a maximum view.

3. Select "Rectangular Marquee Tool" and draw small rectangular selection. Fill with black color. To do so, goto Edit >> Fill and click Ok. Deselect it. See below figure.

4. Now, it is the time to define it as a Pattern, Press Ctrl+A to Select All. Goto Edit >> Define Pattern. Apply this pattern to an image to make effective look.
