While I was enjoying the charm of Buenos Aires, I was not enjoying the searing heat! So, I fled for the beach in nearby Uruguay and was not disappointed.

A short stop in Colonia before heading to Punta
Del Este - a beach town where the Argentinian elite spend their summers.
I was surprised to find that my fellow travelers
in Punta were also Californians!
Bikini Beach - Enough said.
