Tools
------A completed witch may prefer tools in her rituals and rites to increase the strength of her magick. Tools are not needed, however, to perform magick. The tools that are use tend to represent something; an element, a god, goddess... One can concentrate all their magick into, or through the tool in someway, giving it the duty of a kind of channel. A tool tends to give one something to focus on. When obtaining tools, try to be creative and resourceful. Athame- An object formed like a knife. Wooden handled is much better, creativity is encourage, and it shouldn't be a kitchen knife. Athame or any Wiccan object are used sacredly. Cutting herbs, and papers... in spells are allowed, but never animals, or to hurt someone. Can replace wand, sword, or staff. However, assorted with other gods/goddesses and elements. more..

Incense- Herb and spice kinds are best. They create the mood for a meditation, ritual, rite... They are used to make one relax. They help the magick flow in the circle.more..
Wand- The wand is one of the most common tols in Wicca. It is used to draw the circle, be a channel to allow magick to pass through it, call the directions, and other things like that. It can be anything. It can be a little wand from halloween when you were a princess at age four, or a wand that you buy at a witch store, or other stores... Can replace the athame, staff or sword. Talisman- Used as objects close to the heart, magickal objects, or objects that hold personal, or magickal value. Talismans are used in spells, or can be remnants of spells. They can be almost anything (shapewise).more...
