People like John and cream (Andy I think)and EviChi (Mike) are seriosuly worrying,I mean to say I am young,I have no job and yet whenever I come on these "men" are playign RoR.They claim they have a life :-/ John says he has a job a car,so he has a life ....Not all experts are like this,these f*ckers put most people right off,However some people like Arno and _Moulin_ train and help and are generally nice people.But the "Upper crowd" are just a load of men with nothing better to do than play RoR all day??

Its been a franktic day,too new members, please all welcome G0od_Elf_ and Smurf_Elf_. Ive added three profiles on members page for G0od_Elf_, Dangerous_Elf_ and EagleEye_Elf_.I will get around to doing the others when I have the time,I have added an "Old Names" section into the profiles.Elf clan has suddenly picked up,often clans that do this suddenly die,but with Elf this will never be the case.Learn from the past! For it is the key to succsess in the future,I have ran and been a member of many clans.I remember when _KEEPERoF_ suddenly picked up as Elf has now,and almost as suddenly died again...the reason? Lack of leadership,and a few bad eggs.If everyone in the clan gets on,what is there to destroy it? Nothing. Clans can only die from within, they can'not be destroyed by other clans. Often certain members may stop using there clan names,and others may follow in there lead,"They don't use there clan name,why should I?" and thus the clan either weakens in strength of numbers or may even die.I remember when I first saw HeY clan emerging,I laughed and thought to myself,how they are just another 2 week rookie clan,how much further from the thruth could I be? They surived and to this day are still alive on the zone.Their secret? They have a strong leadership and are carefull about who they let join.

Snake clan seems to be coming back,even though I dislike Danny I still wish them luck and hope there clan does well.Infact I hope every clan does well,for clans are what keep games alive, and without them RoR shall truly die.There seems to be a lack of any good clans around,which is disheartening for the future of RoR to say the least. Still one could argue that the game is dead and has been for several years,and perhaps they would have a good point. Still, if you have fun playing RoR then surley it is irrelevant?

IT HAPPENED AGAIN!
Go take a look now, someone else has dropped a message onto the guestbook claiming to be a member plus and threatening all sort of nasties if I don't take a page down from the site. *cracks up*. A few things lead me not to trust this:

Any real member+ would know that they have no leg to stand on about the contents of third party websites

Any real member+ would know that they can't actually take any real acion anyway

If the 'member plus association' (a made up name, incidentally) really was concerned, do you think we would have reieved an official communication from them? maybe? perhaps? Rather than sending a M+ to start dropping us messages

Hmm, offical communication requesting that we take a page down from our website, obviously, we'll send that via a guestbook entry, rather than Email.

+RooKieR_mE is a nonexistant account.
My guess: Someone who's on the list who wants their name taken off it and hasn't got the sense to ask, but would rather make weak threats in an attempt to make me take the entire page down.
Why 'again'? last April someone tried to tell me that my account would be banned for posting an April fools day joke about AOE being taken off the zone.
I'm going to leave it up for the shear hilarity.

Fixed the link that myst tried to put up - there's a reason why I'm the web designer. I'd also like to announce my retirement from playing AOE... I just can't cut it anymore that everyone else has jumped on the Mac cents strategy bandwagon (which I started, incidentally). I used to use it to help overcome the cheese strats going around, but once everyone else starts using it and the cheese it ceases to be worth doing. I'm fed up of not playing for a few months, coming back, and having some low-life scum with questionable levels of skill tower me into my own base by the second game in. You want to play me at War3? fine - but I'm not playing the zone anymore - it's just become a cess-pit for the cheesemongers to thrive in.
Update 2:I've just moved myst's new link, and the god's thing onto the links page... they're links, that's where they go.

Me and heavenly had a funny game vs the izils it was 2vs2 and I stupidly forgot two put pop 200 but left it on 50,I kept building houses befor realising lol.The izils wouldn't Gb and threatened to take ss and called us rooks,so haevenly 1vs1ed them and got us two very nice ss.I can't chnage my files to gif or jpg from the drop-down menu which is very odd,so intill I fix that ill have to send ss to Gurkha.If you do get any ss plz send em to me by via the email on page,just remember to put them into gif or jpg format.

Hi,I had warcraft3 for Christmas,But I can't get it to work.So I am sticking to good old RoR for now.RoR numbers don't seem sooo bad,as I speak there are about 230 people in the room.Soul Of clan seems to be doing well vistit www.SoulOf.cjb.net.A new clan that goes by the the name "iZiL" has emerged.There leader is "JeAbiZiL",and there website addy is http://www.izilclan.cjb.net/,they seem to be made up of good experts.However I don't predict that there clan will last that long as it seems to me that they have given it little thought,still I may be wrong.Only time will tell.I have a feeling that me and Gurkha and writing to oursleves so I am going to advertise this site a bit in hope of attracting more RoR players,and maybe,just maybe even get the forum going.

The above appeared in our guestbook (infact, I've left it there for the shear hilarity). It beggars belief that someone would come to our site, presuambly read it before writing in the guestbook (you don't visit an attraction and fill in the guestbook before you've actually gone in now, do you?) Thus, having read the rules section would know that we don't allow members to be in other clans. The link in the message (I followed it, to save you having to do so) leads to another clan... What kind of idiot, knowing that we don't allow people to join other clans comes to our clan web page to advertise their clan... shear idiocy!
On a lighter note; Happy / Merry Christmas to all our clan members or, indeed, all theose who read the site, a day late to those in Britain and Canada, and 2 days late for Americans. (If anyone knows, could they email us [or otherwise] with an explaination for Americans celebratimg Christmas on the wrong day).

Just a quick update, mostly to show you that we haven't been captured by the yeti or something... we are, infact, mostly still intact. We did almost get eaten by bigfoot, however, but we set a centurion on him. (I take no responsibility for the previous sentence, there must be a gremlin in my PC. Bad gremlin, shooo!). The AoE:RoR tournie that I so hyped up seems to have fallen through, ah well, we can rest assured that everyone else must have chickened away from Mysterious and EagleEye.
The reasoning behind the recent lack of updates is twofold; 1)I've had a pile of things to do in real life, specifically a school production - man it's nice to be with real people for a change. and 2)We've both been busy at other games recently. Myst has been really into AOE2 and I've been playing War3 (as usual) supplemented by DiabloII (Blizzard released the 1.10 patch that the D2 community had been waiting 2 years for), and a smidge of Day of Defeat - that game is shear class, a FPS that isn't a fragfest and requires 's-k-i-l-l'.

Hi Iam currently using the zone name _Only_Loki_.I have also made the well thought out name "IronicWorld" which I may be using as well as my Only name. I am still playing RoR a little, but mostly aok tc.My computer is having problems (it keeps crashing) so if you don't see me for ages its cause either I have tried to do somthing drastic which whent wrong -or- My comp has got so bad its impossible to use. I'm going to have to test if AOE works because it doesn't on the other computer. Otherwise, you may have to wait a while for me to be playing again. *poke* I'm back too. Being RL friends has it's advantages in that we've managed to iron out our disagreements. So, we're back, Mysterious is leader again, but I'm taking a back-seat roll. I'm going to be the webmaster / designer, so anything to do with that, direct emails at me. Why are we doing this?
1)I don't like being leader, being expected to always be around to play game types that I hate
2)I like web design and making the site, I'm sure some will ahve noticed that previously.
3)Mysterious and I have radically different views on what constitutes 'good' play - that's what caused the split last time. It's therefore better if onoly one of us is leading the clan, and since he'd prefer to do it than me...
update 2:I've archived all the old news onto the previous news page. update 3:I forgot to mention that we're both going to have quite a bit more time to work on the clan for a few weeks, last time we picked a really bad time to start.

For any of you who didn't twig, or were just plain worried, yesterdays first point was an APRIL FOOLS DAY JOKE take no notice of it, and live in the knowledge that if you believed it then you are a fool :-)
Where is everyone on the forum? further where is everyone? We can't have a clan with phantom members.
Members: We're looking to put profiles up for everyone, if you can log on and get in contact with me preferably, or email us with your details in the fields on mysterious's or my own profile then we can get it done as soon as possible.
We're going to be having several more screen-shots soon, or so mysterious informs me, so watch out for those.

Update 2: We have some information on the clan info page (yay!) we also have an idiots page, to warn you who to keep away from. Update 3: Fixed a bug with the links bar and added _Mobi_Elf_'s profile. Update 4: Due to the immature behaviour of probably only 2 or 3 posters on the guestbook, I have now put it onto approval mode - entries will now only be shown if I think that they are suitable. Nice bluffs, both of you - pity they haven't payed off.

1st. Bad news everyone, looks like MS might be axing AOE:ROR support on the zone, a message was on the chat room on entering earlier, saying that they may be taking it down in June, but it was quickly removed, presumably because MS didn't want people to start migrating yet.

HOW TO JOIN:
Ok, this may sound obvious, but for the time being, if you're interested in joining the clan, try to see either myself (_Gurkha_Elf_) or Mysterious_Elf_ on the zone to arrange a tryout. You don't have to be the best player on the zone, nor do you have to be able to wipe 5 computers on hardest, RM, low res, in 10 minutes. We are however looking for players who have a decent grasp of playing AOE. I.E. players with a bit of style who don't rely solely on cheese tactics to win. Good luck joining.
