We first saw Hurricane for sale in a sim horse game called "Show Time" at an all breed auction. Bidding on Hurricane for a low price, we easily got the then two year old colt and watched him win four of his five ShowTime starts, including a grade I victory. Imported into the Jockey's Room, Hurricane has so far dazzled us with his blazing speed and mind bobbling power.Hurricane can win against some of the best sprinters at 7 furlongs or stay 12 furlongs. Whatever distance the race is, Hurricane steps up to each challenge like a vicar and leaves the field wishing they'd stay in the barn. He has incredible mind bobbling speed that allowed him to speed 2.01.7 on Derby day on a muddy track than beat his Belmont defeater Reference in a world record time of 2.23.98 for the mile and a half. Hurricane has also proved himself a worthy competitor inter-SIM, winning three of his four starts-all grade I. After Hurricane won JR's first Kentucky Derby, he showed us the true champion we always knew he was. No, he didn't win the Triple Crown, but he's already done more for us than we ever expected. And that is why he should be crowned Myrtlewood's own champion.
