Myrian Cudmore Artist |
About Myrian A. Cudmore
Art has been Myrian’s passion for much of her life, expressed in oils, acrylic, and watercolour. She currently is a member of the Crescentview Artist Association. Myrian is never satisfied until a painting meets her high technical standards, and reflects the subtlety of what she wishes to convey, drawing on her varied life experiences.
Born in England, she immigrated to Nova Scotia as a young child and called the Maritimes home for many years. She moved to Alberta in the late 1970s and has had occasion to experience many parts of North America with five children scattered from coast to coast
Myrian strongly believes in continual learning, evolution of style, and sharing among artists. Consequently she has immersed herself in many different learning environments over the years. These include the Nova Scotia College of Art and Mount Allison University, as well as Red Deer College in Alberta.
During the past year she has made trips to Victoria, B.C. and Prince Edward Island. In addition to a workshop in San Jose, Mexico, Myrian has given lessons in Nova Scotia and Melbourne Florida this year, and has had great pleasure in seeing people learn to paint their first piece of art.
This upcoming year she plans on making art excursions to France and possibly Spain. |
