success.

"Our success" ... it has a nice ring to it. We, as a group, have chosen to say together and assist the Council as needed for the duration.

Our group seems to be solidifying more and more as the days pass. While we are all very different ... from Conner's apparent and refreshing lack of seriousness to Kaldes' bash first instincts (which are not all of the time in error) to Portia's somewhat questionable and oft times expedient ethics, we all seem to respect one another as equals. All have an equal say.

We have also added to our number ... a cleric, and an extremely pious one at that. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on with Portia or Conner who can be more than a little irreverent at times.

In our capacity as "local adventurers" the Council asked us to investigate some trouble in a small community on the peninsula to the northwest of here.

As it turned out this trouble was not what it appeared, and as cool heads were allowed to prevail, we were able to rescue a poor lost soul by the name of Kyrnyn from a cursed life as a two headed ettin ... not something to be taken lightly. He ... and all of us I hope ... learned a valuable lesson. Kyrnyn was punished by his god for serving two masters and as a consequence served neither adequately. When he realized this and chose (and made the correct choice, I suspect), he was restored but the damage and killing were already done.

Kyryn is here in Mosstone now, recovering from his ordeal, living with the guilt and sorrow for his actions as an ettin, and reacquainting himself with his deity, Torn.
