The next day I studied the crystal at length and found that I could infuse it with a portion of my personality and in return it provides me with a means to sense its surroundings ... even from a distance. Interesting ...

I guess while we have some downtime I'll continue my training of Wolf. In the nearly two tendays since she has joined us, she is learning very quickly. She'll come to me directly when called and heal on command (even though I prefer to refer to it as a request). We'll be working on fetching these few days. I think she'll be able master this task in the next tenday. She can grasp just a few more "tricks", but not more than three I think. I don't know yet what they will be although I'm sure they will make themselves known in time. She has not yet "told" me her name, so for now Wolf will do.
