Mystra and that she had entered a new form. Despite my further questions, they insisted on escorting me back to my family. But I knew I had to learn more about this power and how it tied things together.

As the years progressed, I studied what material I could about the Weave and the philosophies of Mystra. Often times, I was interrupted as I continued to aid my family in defending the family homestead. Most of the time, it was a losing battle. We would retreat, often time watching the opposing forces destroying what we had built, well after we had departed, just because they could. This did not sit well with me. When Zarenda Star appeared in Tethyr, I joined her forces hoping just one more person could make a difference. But while her work eventually freed Tethyr, I feel it came at a cost that was unnecessary. There must be better ways to solve problems then with the biggest sword. Thus, against the protests of my family, I returned to the temple that had saved me all of those years ago and I began my training under Mystra.

Upon becoming an acolyte, I wondered the countryside, helping where I could and exploring and documenting the ways of the Weave. My path eventually, led me to Mosstone, a source of both druidic and elvish magic that had survived the turmoil in the south. Was there something here that has enabled them to better survive? Was it the appropriate use of magic? This would be something to emulate. My investigation was interrupted by the arch druid’s request that I accompany a party of adventurers to help a nearby village. It appears my research will be more practical than I expected…
