ALTERNATING BRAKE LIGHT
PROBLEM:
Need to be noticed more by vehicles coming up from behind.
SOLUTION:
Add alternating flasher unit.
The unit is a flasher unit Wagner / NAPA 537 Flasher ( Picture ABL1 )
( This is NOT your standard turn signal / hazards flasher )
Available at NAPA Auto Parts Stores
Price I think was around $6-$7 USD
TOOLS / EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Knife
Small screwdriver
Wire terminal Connectors  ( 3 spade connectors )
Wire terminal connector tool
Wire Ties
Electrical Tape
DIFFICULTY RATING:
Easy
1.   Open Seat

2.   Remove the light cover from under the seat. ( Picture ABL2 )

3.   Gently pull wires toward opening.
4.   You may have to remove tab or tie to make slack in wires.

You are looking for green wires with a yellow stripe this is the brake wire.

5.   You need to remove or cut back the protective covering.
                               ( Picture ABL3 )

6.   Within the covering the green and yellow wire goes from one and then splits one to each taillight.

7.   Find this splice.

8.   At the intersection cut the wires and put the spade ends on them.
                                      ( Picture ABL4
9.   There are three posts on the relay

X - Hot wire in  ( single wire  in )

P - One of the lights ( To taillight )

L - One of the lights  ( To taillight )
10.  Test
11.  Replace protective covering

12.   Wire tie wires back into place and tuck in hole

13.   Replace cover

14.   Close seat you are done.
Now when you activate brake the lights "wig-wag" back and forth to catch the drivers attention behind you.
This makes the brake lights more noticeable.
