| 11/24/05 - Pat�s 22 month stats & accomplishments� A few commonly-used phrases: Wake up Mommy! I love you Mommy/Daddy In the car when I start singing along with a song, he yells "Be quiet! Stop singing!" I have no idea where he learned this from. ~~~~~~~ 11/6/05 - We went to get Patrick's first haircut. It was awful. We went while our realtor was doing an open house, and Pat was long overdue for a nap. Then we waited for more than an hour. As soon as we sat down for the cut, Pat started fighting tooth and nail. She made short work of things, cutting his hair dry. Mike and I both had to hold Pat still. I was so miserable, I just wanted to flee the building when it was over and I turned down the offer to keep a lock of his hair. I think I just wanted to forget it happened at all. Then of course, an hour later, I felt guilty for not taking it. I just can't win!!! We did have a great laugh while we were there waiting for his cut... Patrick started lifting my shirt up to see my belly. So I put the whole shirt over his head, and peered down at him just in time to see him wave at my breast and say "Hi Noogie!" (that was his pet name for nursing) ~~~~~~~ 11/7/05 - This morning at the babysitter's as I was about to leave Pat, he came up to the gate and said, �Bye-bye Mommy� and I leaned down and said bye-bye and asked him for a kiss. He kissed me through the bars and waved, and I told him to have a good day, I�d see him tonight. He said �See you tonight, Mommy� and I said I loved him and he said �Wuv you, Mommy�. When I got up to go, he went to the other doorway to wave and say �Bye-bye� again as he watched me walk out the front door. ~~~~~~~ 11/9/05 - Apparently, Pat likes the Little River Band, because he was bopping away in the car & making up his own words to "Night Owl". Like "night night", or instead of "he shuffles his feet away" his version was "meat away" or "put the toys away". |
