ROCKET

By Kiki

This is a DOT that takes place in the future.  They are all grown up and
have jobs...except for Tess, she just mooches off of everyone else.  Alex
didn't die, and Tess didn't leave.

Liz unveiled her creation to her friends. "Voila!"  The rocket was a silver
color, like a bullet.  "It's capable of light speed..." she started, but was
abruptly interrupted by a familiar annoying voice.

"It's soooooooooooooooo purrrrrrrrrrrrdy!"  Tess bounced into the room.

Liz shot a look to Max, who shrugged his shoulders.  "I don't know how to
get rid of her," he whispered, "we've been trying for years..."

Liz nodded.  It was so hard tolerating Tess, especially because the ditz
thought she was all that.  Sighing, Liz rolled her eyes, "Thank-you, Tess."
She then looked back to the rocket, and pointed to the boosters, "Physics
suggests that light speed is impossible..." Liz again was interuppted by a
disgusting sucking noise.  This time everyone turned to see Tess.

"Do you mind?!" Maria scolded.

"I have something in my teeth," she whined.  She then shot Maria her 'I have
gas expression'.  Maria turned around, "I think I'm gonna hurl."

"As I was saying...Physics suggests that light speed is impossible, but
through testing...we've found a way to make this ship travel as fast as the
speed of light...However," Liz started again.

"So we can go home?!" Tess bounced up and down.

Liz looked at Max with a sly smile on her face.  "Feel free to hop in and
hit that little red button," she said to Tess.

Tess nodded.  She climbed into the rocket, and belted herself in.

"I suggest we leave--now!" Liz jogged out of the room as she called the
words.  The entire group followed her.

"Why are you sending her home?  I mean isn't that punishment to the people
of Antar?" Isabel questioned.

Liz shook her head, "She's not going home.  The red button is the..."

Liz was interrupted this time by a huge bang.  After a series of explosions,
she spoke again, "self destruct button."

Maria smiled, "What about your rocket?  I mean, it cost you a pretty penny."

"It was put to good use...besides I can make another, and getting rid of
Tess--that's priceless," she smiled as they left the hangar.
