Stitch 'N Bitch:  The Knitter's Handbook by Debbie Stoller: Targeted to young creative types, this book of over 40 patterns has plenty to offer knitters of all ages:   funky hats, bikinis, traditional baby blankets, etc.  All patterns are fully illustrated with commentary on techniques, problems and finishing details.  Stoller covers everything from sheep to yarn to learning to knit and trouble shooting when problems arise.
