When Marge Bouvier married Homer Simpson, she knew that she will not be able to fulfill much of her dreams. Don't get it wrong, Marge is never happier being a homemaker and raising her three children, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. Although saddled with a nutcase husband and an irrepressible son, she is proud of her family, and spends her time juggling housework with some short-lived careers. Marge is always trying to find new things to do and had, in one time or another, been a police officer, anti-violence activist, painter and was once determined to fit into the elite class of the Springfield Country Club. However, Marge also had her fair share of shady dealings in the past; she was nearly seduced by a dashing bowler and into a life of crime by her one time neighbor, Ruth Powers. She maintains a close relationship with Abe Simpson, her father-in-law and her two sisters, Patty and Selma.
