PAGE FIVE --The Times They Are A Changin'

This is the new sign outside Macquarie Centre: MACQUARIE. The thing i dig about it is they left off the word 'Centre', and why? i wonder...was it a budget constraint? have they changed the name of the shopping centre? did the workmen go home early? or is it they ran out of wall space and couldn't fit the word on? yeah, i think that's it. North Ryde never fails to impress.

This is where Buttercup Bakery used to be. When i was in primary school they used to take us on school excursions to the bakery to see where bread came from, and at the end of the tour they gave us a free sample of bread. But now Buttercup has moved on, and in it's place is this factory- i'm not sure what they do here, maybe they make giant letters for signs? who knows.

What is this perfectly gardened, perfectly symmetrical, perfect looking building doing in North Ryde? it doesn't make sense. The Johnson & Johnson building has always been my favourite building in the area, i love the neatness of it, it's perfect. The man who used to do the gardening here won a stack of gardening awards for his work. Ok sure, there isn't a lot of garden here now, it's just a big ole lawn, but you gotta admit, that's a nice looking lawn. (Don't get me started on the hedges, I love those hedges!)

Next stop, North Ryde- yep, we're getting a train station. It won't be here for about another 5 years, so until it's built the bus service will have to continue carrying us to Parramatta and back. But wait a second, who even goes to Parramatta? i dont. Why would you want to leave North Ryde? everything you could possibly want is right here. Take a look around this website, this is where it's at. (who am i kidding?)
