A favorite among one-mappers and Iraqis, Country Swing is a very basic map. Some ore, mostly flat terrain, and its small size makes it extremely difficult to win as Allied. There are no real "strats" for this map...basically build fast and attack. You may want to control the central choke point.
Resources Games on this map finish fast. Nothing really special. As soviet, build lots of tanks, annoy them with terror drones and rush. Allies are at a huge disadvantage. As Allies, you must be patient in teching up. From mr_m0ney (getziggy): ZISUICIDE BODeploy PP Barracks (3 dogs, 1 » middle, 1 » bottom, 1 » top, 5 more dogs) Refinery War Factory (deploy close to center) Sell CY (send conscripts and engineer to center) * Build War Miner once out of money * Now, you MUST attack them, and build a miner from your war factory once your tanks have stopped building. With proper micromanagement, this can be DEADLY. I showed a bunch of people this strategy, and they really liked it a lot. This is very risky against soviets, because a terror drone in your miner and your are dead, if your attack fails. (you are practically dead anyway if your attack fails, but this is why I call it ZiSuicide) You have all those conscripts from your construction yard, those dogs, and there is no way he out produced you in tanks, because you built non-stop from your war factory. If you micromanage properly, you will win more then likely. It is very risky and you have to be brave to do this. This is new as far as I'm concerned. Legionair told me that aflyboat used it sometimes, but it never became a popular strategy. |
